Riadel Manzano, an aircraft mechanic from East Williston, New York, has dedicated over a decade to ensuring aviation safety. Inspired by her passion for planes, she earned an Aviation Maintenance degree from Vaughan College and became a certified A&P technician, excelling in a male-dominated field. Starting at a regional airline, she now tackles complex maintenance challenges at LaGuardia Airport. A mentor and advocate for diversity in aviation, Riadel inspires young women to pursue STEM careers through outreach and workshops. Outside work, she enjoys family time, Long Island’s nature, and collecting model airplanes, embodying perseverance and expertise in her field.
